Face City was the first of its kind on Mars: A tourist trap. Even though the Great Face was just a pile of rocks, it still held an air of mystery and excitement.
Times were good in space, and the rich and powerful wanted to travel. Face City became the place to go. The lights of its casinos and luxury hotels lit up the plains of Cydonia for miles.
But no boom lasts forever. When the Earth’s ecosystem finally collapsed, it took the economies of the whole system with it. Tourism dried up and Face City became a ghost town.
